Sense & Sensibility giveaway!

As you may remember, I not only acted in a production of Pride and Prejudice last month, but I sewed a lot of costumes as well.

My favourite ones to sew were created by Jennie Chancey at Sensibility.com. I made dresses in several different styles, undergarments, and a couple of lovely little jackets.

And just for you, oh lovely reader, in honour of her new website redesign, she is giving away an ePattern from her site.

There are patterns from the Regency and Romantic eras... the Edwardian era (think Beatrix Potter)... the early 1900s (Titanic)... even a gorgeous 1940s Swing dress.

Many of the patterns are also sized for children.

I found the patterns to be very easy to use. The pieces went together easily, the instructions were very clear and easy to understand.

To enter, all you need to do is blog, tweet, or post something on Facebook about the "new" sensibility.com, then come back here and post a comment with a link to your post. In a couple of days, I'll let the random number generator choose a winner :)

  6. Hi Wendy,

I just checked out the website -- I wanted to make if everything works before I mention the site on my blog. At the moment one can't access any of the patterns... For example from the Romantic Era:

Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening '' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home4/sensibi1/public_html/wp-content/themes/startbox/category.php on line 12

    Hmm...

Maybe someone can check what is wrong? I would post about your giveaway and spread the word about the site, but at the moment it isn't working at all...

    Greetings from Munich,
    Birgit

  7. It seems to be fixed now, Birgit... I think there were a few issues when the new site went live, but I know they're working on them as fast as they can :)
    Thanks for checking it out!
